Lost Bayou Ramblers stands at the crossroads of Louisiana culture, inhabiting the gray area between Cajun and Creole, convention and innovation, mystery and revelation, experimenting and developing the show to what it has become today: an eclectic blend of modern sounds and rhythms with ancient Cajun melodies and lyrics.
Rooted in Cajun traditions and already the recipient of two Grammy Awards - most recently in 2024 - Lost Bayou Ramblers was founded in 1999 by brothers André and Louis Michot. The band has appeared on Jack White's American Epic, contributed music to the Oscar-nominated film Beasts of the Southern Wild, won two Grammy Awards and toured with renowned artists from around the world. It continues to explore collaborations with artists from around the world, both on stage and in the studio. years of sold-out shows in New Orleans and abroad, Lost Bayou Ramblers was named Entertainers of the Year by the Big Easy Awards in 2019, and 2021 brought features in Rolling Stone magazine, National Geographic, and The New Yorker. 

According to World Café, "the band plays a reinvigorated version of Cajun music, infused with punk energy and psychedelic fuzz."
