Acadian artist from Baie Sainte-Marie in Nova Scotia, Luanna Dugas has lived in the Fredericton region in New Brunswick for more than 20 years. Her artistic practice is inspired by her love for Acadia, recycling, storytelling and the power of creativity in community resilience. She is actively involved with youth groups as a professional artist by offering her expertise and mentoring to her emerging Acadian and Francophone artists. Having produced two solo exhibitions from her collection “The Faces of Resilience” in 2022, she continues to work on mixed media works that highlight the voices of society, always bringing her touch of recycled and transformed art.
