Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (violin, guitars, banjo, mandolin, dobro) Kenneth Saulnier grew up in Acadie, specifically in Baie Sainte-Marie (Nova Scotia) where, surrounded by musicians, he taught a very young age how to play the mandolin, guitar, banjo and violin. As a teenager, he performed in several local groups and began singing.

In 1977, he began his professional career by joining the legendary group 1755 which, according to many historians, largely contributed to a cultural awakening of the Acadian people. It is with songs such as Vivre à la Baie and Southville that he distinguished himself as a singer-songwriter.comme auteur-compositeur-interprète.

After 23 years of music with different groups, Kenneth launched his solo career in November 2000 at the FrancoFête in Moncton where his performance was greeted by a warm standing ovation. Since then, Kenneth has divided his time between tours with his musicians in Canada and Europe (France, Switzerland, Spain), his participation in numerous festivals and television shows and studio recording sessions with other artists. He also continues to compose instrumental pieces and write songs.

His first solo album, Héritage, was released in May 2001. It was followed by Vie d'artiste in 2003. In 2007, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his career, he recorded the anthology album Les bon souvenirs. His latest album, Atlántico, full of traditional music, country, bluegrass, Cajun and faithful to his own sound, was launched during his penultimate appearance on For the Love of Country, the famous Radio-Canada television show hosted by Patrick Norman.
