Claude Cormier

Claude Cormier's music is all about good old-fashioned melodies that bring images to life with the twist of a chorus. A native of Havre-aux-Maisons, in the Magdalen Islands, Claude has been a singer-songwriter for many tides. A prolific artist, he released his first solo album in 2002, and has been touring Canada and France ever since

With Tavernier, his eighth album, Claude Cormier brings us a festive rendezvous of Irish folk, colorful poetry and the unique language of the Madelinots. The frenzied sounds of fiddle, bouzouki, banjo, accordion, guitars and percussion create the warm, dynamic ambience so typical of the Acadians of the Islands.
Cormier is also the winner of the 2022 "Music Artist of the Year" Prize at Les Éloizes - an awards gala recognizing artistic excellence in the Atlantic Provinces.
