Caristaux is an old Acadian word meaning deerskin booties. Similar to moccasins. Caristaux is also an Acadian band from Baie Sainte Marie made up of Sébastien Dol on fiddle, guitar and vocals, Simon Robichaud on guitar and vocals and Francis Robichaud on percussion and vocals. They have been playing together for several years in various musical groups.
